Qatar Airways was established on
November 22, 1993 and started operations on January 20, 1994. In May
2006 the airline introduced a new aircraft livery with the addition of
the A340-600 HGW to the fleet. The Oryx image on the vertical stabilizer
has been enlarged and added to the belly and winglets. The word
"Airways" has been dropped from the livery, but continues to be used in
the airline's marketing. The word "Al Qataria" is inscribed in Arabic
and light grey color next to "Qatar." |
