Trade Air is a privately owned limited liability corporation established in April 1994 with its headquarter in Zagreb, Croatia. The company is registered as an airline whose main activities are passenger charter flights and cargo operations, organized either on charter chain flights or ad-hoc flights. Trade Air is also specialised in transportation of Dangerous Goods.

Currently Trade Air operates two Czech made L-410UVP-E (Turbolet) aircraft between Zagreb, Croatia and Bergamo, Italy on a daily basis. This specific operation has been conducted for almost 10 years. All other cargo and passenger flights are operated on case by case basis.

In the past Trade Air operations included organization of overseas cargo transportation with leased Antonov 72 aircraft.

From the very beginning Trade Air used to lease Hungarian and Slovak aircraft for operating flights for DHL International. Since April 1999 Trade Air commenced operations with its own Let L-410 aircraft. Two L-410 aircraft joined Trade Air's fleet in summer 2000. All aircraft are quick-change commuter aircraft able to convert between cargo and passenger interior in about one hour and upgraded to match all EU aviation standards.

In 2004 Trade Air has acquired two Fokker 100 aircraft. These aircraft belong to the newest generation of the jet fleet available on the market and are targeted for usage on mid range charter routes.

Preparation for IOSA audit

Trade Air has started preparation process for IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) audit. Gap analises between Trade Air organization and IOSA standards have started with the internal audit process based on the IOSA check lists. IOSA certification audit is planned for the end of 2007.
